About
My name is Constance Monroe and I am a life coach with over 20 years experience in helping people achieve living their ultimate life.
I spent 18 years working in the finance industry where I discovered my love for managing, guiding and mentoring individuals. After becoming a VP at Merrill Lynch I began thinking that helping others was something I should do full time. My proven record of increasing morale and placing people into jobs that they were meant to be in was the most thrilling part of managing people in the areas of customer service, IT and procurement services. But between commuting and working long hours, there never seemed to be time to pursue individual coaching on the side. During the financial crisis of 2008 I realized that it could be an opportunity for me to finally branch out on my own.
It would be several more years before I would coach individuals online. My life partner Martin Hilson and I began a slow move abroad to Costa Rica where we had been visiting since 2007 and where we eventually bought our home in 2010. Freelance writing and business coaching is what kept me busy through the completion of building the house.

I now live in Costa Rica full time and have been coaching individuals on how to transform their lives from the ordinary to the extraordinary. I am a Certified Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and use its methodologies to assist people in creating lasting change in their lives. I have also paired up with my life-long friend and colleague Berdette Henry to run retreats out of Costa Rica on life transformation. In 2021 I published a book “Holding Onto Joy” documenting my journey to Costa Rica and what life lessons brought me into the profession of transformational coaching.
So how do we begin? Click here for a free one hour session with me so we can discuss if we are a fit for one another. My coaching style is very straight forward. I will hold you accountable for making progress. You will be amazed at how this progress provides momentum for more progress. I believe in taking things one step at a time, consistently and changing course often when we feel as though we are coming upon a stumbling block preventing your success.
My inspiration comes from a wide variety of gurus whom I’ve studied over the past 20 years. Click here for my reading list and get an idea of my approach to things.
